Marion Elementary School

Welcome to our website!!

We thank you for visiting and hope it provides information you can use.

We are dedicated to working together with our families to help children learn and grow.

  • Marion Elementary has 257 students in grades 4K-6th grade.
  • We have music, physical education and art on a weekly basis with specialists.
  • Our very supportive families help us with programs and events.
  • Your help is encouraged by joining the active Marion PTO and volunteering at school and special events.

Tony Evers, recently praised Marion Elementary School for being among 118 schools in the state that received the Wisconsin School of Recognition honors for the 2011-2012 school year during a special ceremony held recently at the State Capitol in Madison.   To be recognized, schools must be among those with the highest poverty rates in the state, have met adequate yearly progress goals under federal education law for the past two years, and have student achievement on state mathematics and reading assessments that is higher than schools with similar poverty levels and grade configurations.

On March 14th, Abbey Ruppert and Michael Mockler from the Raptor Education Group, Inc. (REGI) located in Antigo, presented an hour long presentation on raptors to the 6th and 5th grade classes.  REGI is a non profit organization dedicated to caring for injured or orphaned native bird species and public education on wildlife issues as well as researching behavioral, nutritional, disease, and post-release studies.  They provide medical treatment, food, housing, and professional care to native bird species. They brought a live American kestrel falcon, Gypsy, a Great Horned owl, Fonzie, and Elva, an Eastern Screech owl.

The Marion Elementary School is always looking for innovative ways to help earn money for our students.   This money is used in a variety of ways and directly benefits each and every student here at Marion Elementary.   Listed below are a variety of programs and incentives that the Marion Elementary School participates in:

*          Box Tops for Education

(Click on the logo for the participating foods)

Simply cut off the Box Tops logo from any of a variety of participating foods and Marion Elementary earns 10 cents per label.

Another way to earn the school money through Box Tops is by shopping online.   eBoxTops are worth 10 cents each and are earned at one of the over 150 online stores supporting the BoxTops Program.   Each store award is based on a certain BoxTops amount awarded per $10 in the purchasing you do.  Just click on the Box Tops logo above, and click on earn, and Shop Marketplace.   You will be able to shop at your favorite store and earn money for our school at the same time.

*          Milk Caps

A variety of milk caps can earn the Marion Elementary School 5 cents for each cap.   Please rinse the caps from your empty cartons and send them in!   Brands include: Kemps, Golden Guernsey,  and Land O’Lakes

*       Campbell Soup "Labels"

Clip ONLY THE UPC CODE off the participating foods (not the entire label) and the Marion Elementary School earns either 1 or 5 cents, depending on the food.   Foods include those made by:  Campbell's, Pepperidge Farm, Franco-American, V-8, Prego, and more!!    Click on the Campbell's Labels for Education for a complete listing.
